Vision & Values
Vision Statement
There is a real need for leadership on creative teams with creative brains. Not just organizational / business leadership, but real authentic leadership. I am developing into a leader for a creative team that works to create and market a product or service. Not necessarily the artist or visionary, but the person who leverages the best of people, builds teams, aligns the final product with vision and values, and balances high quality production with efficiency while delivering to scale.
Creativity
Nicholas was introduced to printmaking when he took a printmaking for non-majors course while attending the University of Colorado, Boulder. He continues to practice the discipline as a creative outlet. His pieces all capture some facet of love. Love he sees in his friends, male intimacy, or the American West.
Voice and Originality
By printing on textiles to create original western wear, Nicholas captures the love he holds for the mountains of Colorado where he was born, and honors the experience of migrating through the beautiful Southwest to Oakland, California.
Sustainability
All monotype prints are created by re-using the extra ink leftover from block print projects to eliminate excess waste.
Service and Community
Ten percent of all art sales are donated to charities and organizations focused on helping mental health access, bolstering education, or supporting LGBTQ+ youth.
